Following the international conferences in Graz, Austria (2016) and Sussex, UK (2024), the 3rd International Conference on Change-Point (ICCP) will take place in Le Havre, France on 19-21 May 2026.

The ICCP 2026 conference is dedicated to the 70 anniversaries of Prof. Lajos Horvath for his great contribution in this field.

The scientific program will take place on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. The social program will start with a welcome drink and dinner on the evening on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. The main themes of the event include but are not limited to: Classical Change Point analysis; Change Point analyses in econometrics; Change Point analysis in time series with count data; Change Point for functional and high-dimensional data.

There will be a single-session scientific program with invited oral presentations. Oral presentations at this conference are strictly by invitation only.

Professor Lajos Horvath

Professor Lajos Horvath

Professor Horváth (University of Utah, USA, Member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Fellow of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics, and recipient of the Humboldt Research Award) has shaped the theoretical foundations of change-point analysis for decades. He has published more than 400 influential monographs on limit theorems for stochastic processes. His mentorship has shaped over 30 PhD students across three continents.  His seminal work on limit theorems, functional approximations, and inference for structural breaks in dependent data (e.g., Horváth and Kokoszka, 1997; Aue et al., 2009) has become indispensable to modern time series methodology. His research spans econometrics, statistics, and probability, inspiring generations of scholars. This conference pays tribute to his enduring impact on the discipline.
